Samanthi Martinez is running for her second term as a Trustee of the Village Board. You may know her as Sami, as she is known by many in the community. Sami is the Director at Madison Lane Senior Homes, where she has worked for the past 11 years. In her position, she is responsible not only for the fiscal management of the property, but also planning capital projects, overseeing resident well-being, and keeping the unique non-profit organization healthy. In her spare time, she also works as the Executive Director of the Association of Professional Model Makers, which is a non-profit trade association for model makers, that is headquartered in Hamilton.

Sami also serves on the Board of Directors of Community Memorial Hospital, the Community Board of Colgate's Upstate Institute and COVE (Center for Outreach, Volunteerism and Education) and is a past member of the board of Hamilton Community Chest, the Madison County Office for the Aging, and Arts at the Palace. She is currently an active member of the Hamilton Climate Preparedness Working Group and Hamilton's Fortnightly Club.

Sami and her husband have lived in Hamilton's Village for 19 years and have two grown children and two grandsons who love their grandparents' special village of "Hammytown" and spend their summers here.

"I am seeking reelection as Village Trustee because Hamilton has been such a warm and welcoming community for us. We love the local businesses, enjoy favorite restaurants, and have found lasting connections to this wonderful college town that is also a self-contained community. I hope to give back to the home we love through continued leadership on the Village Board."

Thank you,

Sami
