Meet Mike Oot on 9/15/08

Dear friends,

What a wonderful opportunity we have on November 4 to insist that our government reclaim the values promised in our Constitution as well as our country’s moral leadership in the world!

We have a special opportunity here in New York’s 23rd Congressional District. If we work hard, we can elect a representative who can help us to move toward the values affirmed in our Town of Hamilton platform meeting and by the national Democratic Party’s platform. (See our website, www.hamiltondemocrats.org).

From his home base in Munnsville, Michael Oot has campaigned hard all around the huge 23rd NY congressional District. He has visited our own Farmers’ Market, marched in our July 4th parade, and knocked on many of our doors. And we hope you have seen his You-Tube videos and visited his web site at www.mikeootforcongress.org.

Now, however, we want to invite you to a special opportunity to talk with Mike Oot and to hear his update on his campaign at a

Reception and Chili Supper
Monday, September 15, 2008
5:00 – 8:00 PM

at
Sue and Bob McVaugh’s house,
42 Broad Street

Hamilton

Mike will speak and answer questions twice: at 5:45 and at 7:15 pm.

(Assorted homemade chilis: vegetarian, chicken, as well as traditional chili-with-beef will be offered together corn bread and lovely things to cool your mouth and/or satisfy your sweet tooth, all made and contributed by local Democrats!)

We have appreciated your support in the past. Mike can win this one if he can make his name and positions known widely. This will require costly advertisements and mailings. Contributions will be gratefully received, whether on line, at the party, or by mail. (Checks should be made out to “Mike Oot for Congress” and can be mailed to Sue McVaugh. Political donations are not tax-deductible.)

We would love to see you on September 15!

 Sincerely,

Sue McVaugh, Wanda Warren Berry, Don Haight and Cynthia Mannino    For the Town of Hamilton Democratic Committee
